The following are the New gTLD extensions being launched for the first week of September.  It’s the week where one plural extension will go up against the singular version already released.  Another is the proper name which goes up against the abbreviated version.  It will be interesting to see which New gTLD will prevail.  Let the “.juegos” begin!

9/2/14 –

.GIFTS – lots of potential for online stores selling any type of gifts.  How will this fare against the singular “.gift” ?
.RESTAURANT – every eatery should have this one.  Again, how will this fare against the abbreviated version “.rest“ ?
.SARL – for small partnership-based businesses (LLPs) in French-speaking countries.

.DIGITAL – anything and everything having to do with digital technology, electronics, media.

.AUDIO – online space for sound.
.CLAIMS – this could be for money claims, insurance claims, settlement claims, or how about lawsuit claims like what you see on television where there is a class action case against a big company suing for just about anything they can come up with?
.CREDIT – great place to find information on what you have to do in order to get or fix your credit.
.CREDITCARD – a place to find information about and apply for credit cards to go into even more debt.
.GRATIS – offer perks gratis – meaning “free of charge” – to your customers (So shouldn’t this New gTLD be free?  Just being snarky here)
.HIPHOP – Yo!  It’s cool and trendy.  “I said a hip hop, hippie to the hippie, the hip, hip a hop, and you don’t stop, a rock it to the bang bang boogie, say, up jump the boogie, to the rhythm of the boogie, the beat”. heh heh  Couldn’t resist this classic lyric.
.JUEGOS – Spanish for “games”.  Ay caramba!
